The Constitution of Kenya requires that not more than 2/3 of either gender is represented in all appointive and elective positions. Gender Mainstreaming provides a good platform to achieve the above requirement by generating disaggregated data that guides in policy decision.
In addition, sustainable Development Goal No. 5 emphasizes on achieving gender equality and this can only be achieved through gender mainstreaming at the workplace. It is therefore important for all organizations to understand and conduct gender mainstreaming in their organizations.

By the end of this program, participants will be able to:

  • Definition of Gender Concepts,
  • Gender Mainstreaming at the workplace,
  • The Gender Committee at the Workplace,
  • Gender Based Violence (GBV) at the Workplace,
  • Gender Analysis at the Workplace,
  • Sexual Harassment at the Workplace and
  • LGBT at the Workplace.
