The Constitution of Kenya requires that not more than 2/3 of either gender is represented in all appointive and elective positions. Gender Mainstreaming provides a good platform to achieve the above requirement by generating disaggregated data that guides in policy decision. In addition, sustainable Development Goal No. 5 emphasizes on achieving gender equality and this can only be achieved through gender mainstreaming at the workplace. It is therefore important for all organizations to understand and conduct gender mainstreaming in their organizations.

By the end of this program, participants will be able to:

  • To understand the concept of gender mainstreaming.
  • To identify and mainstream gender at all levels in the organization.
  • To enable participants, identify gender needs, priorities and how to integrate them in policy formulation.
  • To acquire practical skills on how to develop and implement gender mainstreaming policy at the work place.

This training is suitable to a wide range of professionals but will greatly benefit;:
